On here, you can see a lot of my meals are from the Trim Healthy Mama cookbooks, because they are that good! I highly recommend getting them because they are chalk-ful of delicious recipes. I do have my family's favorite meal on here - Spicy Shredded Beef Burritos. I found this recipe a long time ago before I started Trim Healthy Mama and have since modified it so that it fits my family's tastes. I figured since my husband and the older three are gone on Valentine's Day, that I would make them a special meal for their return! I don't often make it as chuck roast is not cheap, but I found a moose roast in the freezer and knew immediately I had to make it! I also had two cheat meals: sushi with my mom and sister (because it was Valentine's Day) and lunch with my grandma. My youngest had lasagna for Valentine's Day because I knew she would enjoy it! I do believe that the occasional cheat meal is ok, so long as you stay on track the rest of the week. You may not lose weight as quickly, if
that's your goal, but it's my personal belief that so long as you are still losing and not cheating every day or for every meal, then you are on the right track. I limit cheat meals to 1-2 per week.
Grocery List
I like to shop by aisle, so the lists below are in order if you walk in through the store by the produce then walk to the back and around the aisles. I usually do produce, natural foods, meat, dairy, then aisles. It makes shopping an easy-in, easy-out ordeal! This week is a little more than I like to spend, but I also had run out of some items (such as flours for the Frugal Baking Blend). I also wanted to try a new snack idea so some items are extra this week for some trial and hopefully enjoyment!
